Glacier Futures Workshop
Whitehorse, Yukon, May 2026
The Glacier Futures gathering brought together around 70 key leaders and experts from northern BC, Yukon, and Alaska to discuss climate resilience in glacierized watersheds. Through celebration, storytelling, cross-generational learning, youth engagement, and cross-disciplinary knowledge sharing, this gathering aimed to:
-
Build relationships and connections across boundaries, watersheds, and regions.
-
Share cross-learnings about glacier change and how it shapes communities, cultures, and environments.
-
Discuss challenges and opportunities for forward-looking stewardship of glacierized watersheds.
Graphic recording was conducted digitally. The different panels were combined into two final posters, presented here.
